UK Law Reference is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

Accessibility Features

  • Semantic HTML: Proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and meaningful link text throughout the site.
  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible.
  • Dark Mode: A high-contrast dark mode is available to reduce eye strain.
  • Responsive Design: Content reflows properly on all screen sizes from mobile to desktop.
  • Text Resizing: Content remains readable when text is resized up to 200%.
  • Alt Text: Informative images include descriptive alt text.
  • Colour Contrast: Text meets WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios.
  • Multi-language Support: Content is available in 11 languages to serve diverse communities.

Known Limitations

  • Some older content may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • PDF documents linked from external sources may not be fully accessible.
